Online-Workshop: Presentation in English

There will be ample opportunity to practise your delivery.

We will explore

• Strong, dynamic science presentations ­– ten crucial points
• Qualities of a good speaker – verbal skills, audibility, body language and other aspects
• Voice and other language issues – practical exercises
• Practical application of your Elevator Pitch – a concise presentation of yourself and your research
• Stage fright – how to deal with nervousness
• Q & A sessions – strategies and practice for handling a range of questions types

Methods

• instructor input; varied practical exercises; optional videotaping analysis, and giving and receiving feedback, plenary discussion

Dates and Timetable
The format of this course – online or face-to-face – has not yet been determined. It will be announced one month in advance of the course, which will be held 9 am – 5 pm on both days, whichever format.

The workshop helped me in improving my presentation skills.
